Paraplegia: Paralysis is called paraplegia when it occurs in the lower parts of the body. This is usually a result of a lower spinal cord injury.
Quadriplegia: Paralysis is called quadriplegia when the paralysis occurs in all four limbs. This is usually a result of an upper spinal cord injury.
