Another trial victory for Steven E. Goren
With Defendant McLaren Hospital in Flint Michigan offering only $65,000, Steven E. Goren decided to try the malpractice case of a woman who had lost the fingertips on her right hand to blood clots. The claim was that the hospital was slow to recognize and treat a post-operative complication. Defendant McLaren Hospital alleged that the diagnosis was timely and nothing could be done to save the fingertips. A jury did not believe the hospital and awarded Mr. Goren's client approximately $300,000. The verdict was collected a few months later (with the help of a sheriff).
